who we are

The Circus Area Residents Association, or CARA, was formed over 25 years ago, in order to represent the views of people who live and work in the Circus Area (click here for map).

how it works

CARA is a completely member-driven organisation. Members are constantly able to raise their concerns or suggestions about local issues, by contacting the committee, through this website, or at CARA meetings throughout the year. Current priority issues are formally set at the AGM, on which our committee undertakes to campaign over the coming year. The committee stay in regular contact with councillors, officials and the police in order to discuss local concerns.

Visit our committee page here to see who's working for CARA this year.

Our CARA Constitution can be found displayed on our membership page here.

community

CARA's other objective is to make space for community, in this beautiful part of the world. Members get the chance to chat to neighbours at friendly local events and functions throughout the year: coffee mornings, outings, and an annual garden party (hoping it doesn't rain!)

Details about upcoming events are posted out in an annual newsletter, and also on our news page here
