CARA membership is open to all who live or work in our catchment area, whether renting or owning property. (Our catchment area is marked in red on the map below.)

Residents and businesses who live or are based outside our catchment area may still join CARA as Associate Members. The only significant difference between full membership and Associate Membership is that Associates cannot stand for office on the Committee, nor vote at AGMs or EGMs.

Members gain access to a calendar of social events and parties, and to a platform where they can raise concerns and discuss local issues. They receive a regular newsletter with updates on local issues. 
Members are also able to purchase 24-hour parking permits at a reduced rate (see Local Information).

catchment area

The Circus Area encompasses the residential and commercial area around the Circus and the Assembly Rooms. Its boundaries extend from Queen's Parade, meeting Gay Street, along George Street, Lansdown Road, Julian Road, Crescent Lane, Upper Church Street, and Brock Street. 

NB St Catherines Place has its own Residents Association, marked in orange below. Residents may also join CARA as associate members, by application to the CARA Treasurer (contact here).
