CARA Carols in the Circus

Christmas Carols in The Circus.

CARA presented two cheques to the Salvation Army representing the £1225 raised by our 2019 ‘Christmas Carols on the Circus’ and £300 raised by Circus Restaurant from their sales of mulled wine at the event.
As many people will know, we had to make a last-minute switch of venue from the Circus green to the Assembly Rooms piazza due to the waterlogged grass. We expect to return to the Circus this year. We would like to thank our lighting contractor, Enlightened, who supplied our colourful ambient lighting at cost. Given that numbers at this free annual event are increasing year on year, we expect to introduce better and improved amplification for 2020.
Both the Salvation Army and CARA are very grateful to Circus Restaurant, who have partnered with us at our event for several years now and, of course, to the c.900 people who came and sang carols to the music provided by our local Salvation Army band...and all our cash collectors who worked so hard to coax donations from so many people, without whom we could not support the Salvation Army in this way. Thank you.
